About this course

Explores how urbanism has taken shape in the world's cities, with a strong emphasis on places outside the United States from the nineteenth century to the present. Examines the history, culture and politics of cities as well as the process of globalization that joins cities and urban dwellers in translocal networks and flows that extend across wide geographic space.
