ChillSemester helps CUNY students plan a semester: browsing classes, building schedules, reading a degree audit, and getting emailed when a full class opens a seat. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Who we are

ChillSemester is run by an independent student developer. It is not part of, endorsed by, or affiliated with CUNY or any of its colleges. Questions: contact@chillsemester.com.

Class data comes from CUNY

Section, seat and schedule information comes from CUNY's public Global Search, and professor ratings from Rate My Professors. We refresh it often but it can be wrong or out of date. Always confirm a class and your registration in CUNYfirst. ChillSemester does not register you for classes.

Seat alerts are best effort

We check watched classes regularly and email you when a seat opens, but we cannot guarantee that an alert arrives, arrives on time, or that the seat will still be available when you act. Another student may take it first. Do not rely on ChillSemester as your only way to track a class you must have.

Schedule and degree-audit suggestions

Recommendations, stress scores and degree-audit readings are automated aids, not academic advice. They can contain mistakes, especially for programs we parse less well. Check requirements with your advisor before you register.

Passes and payment

• Browsing classes and scoring schedules are free. The Semester Pass adds saved schedules; the Year Pass adds saved schedules and seat alerts.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• A pass is a digital service that starts immediately and lasts for the period shown at purchase. Passes are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. If something is broken, email us and we will fix it.
• Passes are for one person. Do not share your account or resell access.

Your account and content

You sign in with your email. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account and all your data at any time from your profile page. Do not upload anything to the degree-audit reader other than your own audit.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse the site: no scraping it, probing for security holes, overloading it, or using it to harass anyone. We may suspend accounts that do.

No warranty, limited liability

ChillSemester is provided “as is” without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for missed classes, missed alerts, registration problems, or other losses from using the site, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; continued use means you accept it.
