Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the site, we do not sell your data, and you can delete everything yourself.

What we collect

• Email address when you sign in, used for your sign-in code or link and the seat alerts you ask for.
• Your choices: home campus, saved schedules, the classes you watch, and your work-shift preferences.
• Degree audit (optional): if you upload a Degree Works PDF, we read it in memory and keep only the parsed result (courses, grades, remaining requirements). We do not keep the PDF, and we do not store your name or student ID. You can delete the saved audit any time from the audit page.
• Payment records: Stripe handles your card. We keep only that a purchase happened, which plan, and its dates.
• Basic technical logs (such as errors and request times) kept by our hosting provider.

How we use it

To run the features you use: sign you in, build and recommend schedules, email you when a watched class opens, and keep the service working and secure. We do not use your audit or schedule for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your data.

Who processes it

• Supabase (database and sign-in)
• Vercel (hosting)
• Stripe (payments)
• Resend and Google Mail (sending emails)

They process data only to provide those services to us.

Emails we send

Sign-in messages, seat alerts you requested, and notices about your own account or watches. We do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it.

Your control

You can delete your degree audit, remove watches and schedules, or delete your whole account from your profile page. Deleting your account removes your profile, schedules, watches, audit and notification history. Payment records may be kept as Stripe and the law require. For anything else, email contact@chillsemester.com.

Children

ChillSemester is for college students and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change. Not affiliated with CUNY.
