This course will deal with the nonliterary aspects of French and Francophone cultures, such as music, the visual and performing arts, and the history of ideas. The specific topics to be considered will vary from semester to semester and from section to section, and will be announced in advance. Readings and class discussions will be conducted in English. May be taken more than once for credit provided the topic is different.
