About this course
In this course, which is the third course in the calculus sequence, multi-variable calculus along with an introduction to vector analysis are discussed. Subjects studied include three-dimensional coordinate systems, dot and cross products, equations of lines and planes, quadric surfaces, vector-valued functions. Limits, partial derivatives, the gradient vector, maximum and minimum values, double and triple integrals over general regions, and the computation of multiple integrals using alternative coordinate systems. Vector fields, line integrals, path independence, Green?s theorem, the divergence theorem, surface integrals and Stokes? theorem are also considered.
