About this course

This course will examine the key challenges posed by a long-term, multifaceted housing crisis and a seemingly steadily growing population of people who are unhoused. We will consider the policies and solutions that have been proffered from multiple rounds of protest and reform, and explore why these have been inadequate to ending the housing crisis, and what would need to change in order for the crisis to be more tractable. The class will focus on New York City but will also investigate federal and state policies.
