About this course
This course examines how regional, ethnic, and cultural diversity have intersected to create the unique linguistic landscape of the United States. This course investigates contact between English and non-English language varieties, language and identity, language discrimination, and the history of linguistic diversity in the United States, as well as current language policy debates. This is a Writing Intensive course.
