Caribbean literatures and cultures of South and North America. Empire; revolution; labor and tourism; decolonization; migration; indigeneity; storytelling and oral traditions; diaspora; exile; and constructions of race, class, gender, and sexuality. Texts in English with attention to the Caribbean?s multiple linguistic traditions.NOTE: Non-majors/minors who wish to take this course should see an English advisor for permission.Prerequisite: Declared English Major/Minor.
