About this course

An examination of the relationship between molecular structure and biological activity for some of the more important classes of therapeutic agents. Relevant nomenclature, functional group chemistry, and stereochemistry of the major classes of organic compounds; mechanism of action; structure-activity relationships, and other factors which influence drug action will be discussed.PREREQ: CHE 234 and BIO 167.
