About this course

A survey of microbes and their structure, chemical composition, cultivation, ecology, and metabolism; special emphasis on applied aspects (infectious diseases and human resistance, food and industrial microbiology, biotechnology). PREREQ: Two semesters of 100-level biology, Grade of C or higher Note: The course cannot fulfill any requirements within the BIO major or BIO minor).
