About this course
Meeting the global challenge of sustainability and environmental justice as we seek to preserve the human habitat requires us to draw on and integrate many fields of knowledge. This course will introduce students to the insights from such diverse field as ecology, political science, economics, psychology, history and literature. As this is an interdisciplinary course, some aspects of the course will vary depending on the expertise of the instructor, but will always focus on providing students with the tools to understand and respond to global problems such as climate change, environmental degradation, and socio-economic inequality and the unequal distribution of limited resources.
