Requirements
Minimum upper sophomore level. Cumulative 3.0 GPA required to register. Open to majors: Public Health, NFS, NFSIP-BSMS, Nutrition & Wellness, Human Bio, incl MHC. & to Public Health minors.Open to Public Health/Community Health, Majors and Minors and including MHC. Also open to Nutrition & Food Science and Nutrition Wellness Majors and MHC plans.
About this course
An introductory course on community and public health principles and the current delivery systems in the U.S.; major areas of community/public health such as epidemiology, the health care system, community organization, school health, and social behavioral and environmental health. Current issues and alternative solutions will also be examined. Open to listed majors/minor. Open to others who meet prereqs, & w/PH faculty advisor clearance per space availability. Course not required for transfer students who enter with PH 30100 transfer equivalency as shown in CUNY?s online transfer explorer or Admissions transfer course equivalency weblink.
