About this course

This course, taken in combination with Latin Literature Part II, offers a comprehensive survey of Latin literature from the Republican to the Imperial and Early Christian era. Students will read, translate, comment upon, and interpret selected passages to sharpen language skills and broader their understanding of major literary characteristics and trends.
