About this course

This course offers an introduction to the theory of democracy. The second takes a more analytical approach, focusing on the debates within democratic theory, which have occurred during the twentieth century. The course aims todeepen understanding of the complexity and contestability of democracy by exposing students to a variety of different perspectives.
