About this course

This course delves into the complexities of global governance in the 20th and the 21st century amidst crises and pressing global challenges such as climate change and pandemics. It critically examines the historical foundations and contemporary workings of the global order, and assesses its achievements, shortcomings, and adaptability in an increasingly interdependent world. Through an exploration of existing international organizations, we ponder the central question: Can effective global governance be realized? Is it possible to govern the world?
