About this course
The course will use primary research articles to introduce biology majors to key experiments in molecular biology. Students will learn how the molecular biology revolution led to recombinant D N A technologies, including mRNA vaccines. The text for this class is H.F. Judson's The Eighth Day of Creation. Hallmark experiments that form our current understanding of molecular biology (i.e., discovering DNA, RNA, and proteins) will be discussed.
