About this course
45 hours; 3 credits This course provides students with the advanced skills to conceptualize and communicate design ideas that enhance the visual and thematic elements of a production. Costume design plays a pivotal role in shaping both the conscious and subconscious perceptions of performance narratives. Students will build on their foundational costume design skills, preparing them for roles such as costume designer or assistant costume designer within the Department of Theater productions and other campus performance venues. The course also opens doors to opportunities in performance-related fields and freelance work within the professional entertainment industry. Prerequisite: Theater 7433X [771.6X].
