3 hours; 3 creditsExploration of the intersection of literature and film. Development ofstudents' understanding of aesthetics of language and literature andacquaintance with new approaches to reading. Topics include narrativestructure; character; setting; point of view; representation of emotionand thought. Classics 2104 and English 2004 are the same course.(Not open to students who have completed Core Curriculum 3104.)2017-2018: Satisfies Pathways College Option requirement. Starting Fall 2018Satisfies Pathways Flexible Core World Cultures and Global Issues requirement.Prerequisite or Corequisite: English 1010 [1].
