3 hours lecture, 4 hours laboratory; 5 credits Thermodynamics, including nonelectrolyte and electrolyte solutions, reaction equilibria, and phase equilibria. Laboratory emphasizes physicochemical measurements. Students who complete Chemistry4600 [60.1] may take Chemistry 4610 [61], but must forfeit three credits earned for Chemistry 4600 [60.1].Prerequisite: Chemistry 3410 [41] or 3415 [41W]; and Mathematics*2201 [5.3]; and Physics *2100 [2] or 2150 [2.5].
