PREREQUISITES AND/OR CO-REQUISITES: ENGLISH 1012; BIOLOGY 1001 AND 1002, AND BIOLOGY 2010 OR 3011, ALL WITH A GRADE OF C- OR HIGHER, ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE THIS COURSE.

About this course

3 hours, 3 credits How a tumor cell is formed and progresses. The roles of inherent tumor-suppressor genes in killing cancer cells. Students will get an opportunity to learn molecular mechanisms of a cancer cell and develop an interest in basic or therapeutic cancer research. Writing-intensive course. Prerequisites and/or corequisites: English 1012; Biology 1001 and 1002, and Biology 2010 or 3011 or similar/equivalent course as permitted by the instructor.
