About this course
This course focuses on the developmental aspects of adulthood and aging. Major theories of human development, such as Baltes and Baltes successful aging theory, the social-cognitive theory of personality development, and socioemotional selectivity theory, are used to explain physical, cognitive, social, and emotional changes that occur over this period. Special attention is given to research methods in the emerging field of gerontology.
