About this course

This is an innovative and empowering course that combines experiential and academic learning, analogous to a laboratory or a field studies course. The course will provide context and practical instruction in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), an evidence-based program for reducing and managing stress through the cultivation of mindfulness with a combination of informal exercises, sitting meditation, light yoga, and group discussion. The final weeks explore the scientific literature on the clinical outcomes of such programs and the mechanisms by which they achieve them.
