About this course

This five-week clerkship provides students the experience of diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with psychiatric illness in the in-patient; out-patient and emergency settings are stressed. This clerkship requires students develop and demonstrate a variety of skills under the supervision and guidance of an experienced psychiatric practitioner. The contextual approach to these disciplines will include integrating basic sciences, anatomy and physiology, embryology, ancillary diagnostics and medical terminology.
