About this course

This eight-week experience consists of inpatient and ambulatory components to provide students with the opportunity to participate in the evaluation and care of adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, as well as care of healthy adult patients through screening, prevention, and health promotion. The focus will be on the development of clinical skills, including: conducting a focused medical interview and physical examination, documenting and communicating findings to the medical team, clinical reasoning and differential diagnosis, generation of treatment plan, and assessment/management of patients with acute medical conditions.
