COMPUTER AND INFORMATION SCIENCE 3130; AND COMPUTER AND INFORMATION SCIENCE 1115, OR BOTH OF 1113 AND 1114, OR 1170, OR 3115, BOTH WITH A GRADE OF C OR HIGHER, ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE THIS COURSE.
About this course
3 hours recitation and at least 6 hours independent work; 3 credits each term Overview of design and implementation of large-scale application concerns. Team-based software development methodologies, tools, and high-impact practice. Separation of structure, style, and behavior. Interpreted and/or declarative languages, dynamic types, functional programming, prototypal classes, and closures. Networked machine communication. Simple database operations. Prerequisite: Computer and Information Science 3130; 1115, or both of 1113 and 1114, or 1170, or 3115.
