About this course
This course examines contemporary government budgeting practices within the context of urban politics, public administration, collective bargaining, and federal and state impacts on local budgeting. The emphasis is on the budgeting process in New York City, beginning with the role of the fiscal crisis of 1974 - 75 in reforming City government budgeting.
