About this course
This course reviews how novel scientific innovations are applied in biotechnology to address unmet needs. We explore practical and diverse uses of biological technologies in medicine, agriculture, industry, and the environment. We consider the advantages and limitations of using bio-scientific tools. We analyze the promises, controversies, and potential consequences of translating science into products. You engage in activities that build professional skills such as communication, teamwork, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making.
