Advanced study in an area of music performance or scholarship. Independent study under the direction of a faculty mentor. Appropriate projects include an academic thesis in musicology or music theory, a recital on an instrument or voice, a musicianship or music education project or portfolio, or a musical composition. PREREQ: Departmental permission.
