BIO 3020

Biology of Invertebrates · 4 credits · Fall 2026

This course meets as a lecture plus a lab. Your schedule needs one time from each, and the schedule builder picks them together.

Requirements

Prerequisite: A one-semester college natural science course with laboratory (BIO 1012, BIO 1016, BIO 2010, BIO 3001, CHM 1004, CHM 2003, ENV 1004, ENV 3001, PHY 2001, or PHY 2003).

About this course

Formerly BIO 2012. This course describes the identifying characteristics of major phyla, classes, and orders of invertebrate animals. Laboratory periods are used to study the morphological, physiological, behavioral, and ecological characteristics of selected invertebrates. Examples of the ecological and economic importance of specific organisms are explained throughout the course. (Students will receive credit for BIO 3020 or ENV 3020, not both. These courses may substitute for each other in the F-replacement policy.)

Seat status as of Sep 28, 10:49 PM ET. Seats change fast, so a class shown as open may be full by now. Watch a full class to be emailed the moment it opens.
