About this course
This course is an introduction to the piano. Students learn posture at the instrument, hand position, reading treble and bass clefs, playing simple melodies, coordination of left and right hands, and the basics of rhythm. Students perform a simple repertoire to attain an elementary facility at the piano, along with an introduction to the major scale. Practice rooms are available to enrolled students for the duration of the semester.
