A survey of American musical theatre on stage and screen including its origins, elements and structure, significant productions and creators, and current status, considered in the context of a changing America. Live productions may be attended when available.The minimum technological requirements for fully online sections of this course are a working camera and microphone. Students are expected to turn on cameras and microphones at their instructor's request.
