3 hours; 3 credits Through lectures, discussions and student responses, this course willsurvey key flashpoints of Black Cinema in America to create an evolving dialogue about thehistory, theory and debate between American politics, Black culture, the art of film, the businessof film and the racist and anti-racist cultural products that result or derive from these polemics.
