MUSIC 1300 OR CORE CURRICULUM 1130 OR CC 2.2 IS REQUIRED TO TAKE THIS COURSE. STUDENTS WHO PASSED MUSIC 2103 WITH GRADE OF C OR HIGHER OR AMERICAN STUDIES 3704 CANNOT ENROLL IN THIS COURSE.
About this course
2 hours lecture, 3 hours fieldwork; 3 credits Exploration of music performance in the music institutions and diverse cultural resources of New York City. Students will attend musical performances and carry out field documentation of a local music culture or institution. This course is the same as American Studies 3704. Prerequisite: Core Studies 2.2 or Core Curriculum 1130 [1.3] or Music1300 or permission of the director.
