Border Politics · 4 credits · Fall 2026
About this course
Course examines formal international boundaries as geopolitical institutions designed to accomplish specific political goals, but also considers borders as spaces of commerce, sites of power and disempowerment, and markers of differences both real and perceived. As such students are asked to consider borders as spaces of transgression, aggression, and resistance.
