About this course
A survey of the development of classical (Freudian) psychoanalytic theory and technique. Also considered are the cultural and scientific influences on Freud's thinking, how current research findings support (and fail to support) classical theory, and Freud's influence on contemporary psychoanalytic theory and practice.
