About this course
This is a 4-week clinical elective that may provide an overview of the delivery of a range of acute, chronic, and preventive medical care services provided by the family medicine physician. This may include diagnosing and treating various illnesses, provision of preventive care, routine checkups, health risk assessments, immunization and screening tests, and personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. These electives may offer experiences in inpatient or outpatient areas.
