Prerequisite: Not open to students who have completed 2 years of high school Spanish, who have the NSPA student group, or to those with prior knowledge of the language.
About this course
This is the first course of a one-year introductory sequence that aims to give students a command of written and spoken language and grammar. Emphasis is on communication skills and the cultures of Spanish-speaking peoples. Self-expression is developed through the use of collaborative, situational, and presentational activities. This course requires the use of an on-line language laboratory component.
