This course emphasizes a systems and analytical approach to the principles of operations in product and service industries, including applications of managerial skills to problems arising in planning and controlling operations. The topics covered include the economics of production, facilities planning, inventory control, capacity utilization, materials handling, quality control, project scheduling, project management, work measurement and appraisal.
