About this course
This introductory course provides students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in costume and fashion technology. Through hands-on projects, students will learn essential hand sewing and machine sewing techniques, basic pattern interpretation, fabric properties, and construction methods relevant to costume creation for theatre production as well as in the fashion industry. The course includes work on department productions. A significant portion of the course will be dedicated to costume production for theatre department which will serve as a final project for this class, allowing students to apply learned skills.
