About this course

This course provides a rigorous treatment of the study of abstract vector spaces and linear transformations. This course builds on the foundation of linear algebra presented in MTH 3210. Topics of discussion include abstract vector spaces, linear transformations, real and complex inner products, invariant subspaces, generalized eigenvectors, and Jordan and rational canonical forms.
