About this course
This course provides an introduction to the core principles and practices of technical theatre for the undergraduate theatre major. Students will gain foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in areas such as theatrical safety, scenery construction, rigging, properties, and scenic painting. The course emphasizes both the theoretical and practical aspects of backstage work, preparing students to be effective and safe collaborators in the production process. Students will apply skills learned in class to required work in department productions.
