About this course
This course requires instructor permission to register. The course introduces students to community psychological services through field placements. Students spend eight hours per week at their field placement (90 hours total) and participate in a weekly class at the College. Field placements may include, psychiatric and medical hospitals, day care centers, geriatric facilities, agencies serving children or adults on the spectrum, community mental health centers, drug and alcohol programs, vocational rehabilitation, public and private schools, mentoring and outreach projects. Students apply to field work placements from a list provided or propose a site that they have found.
