About this course
Introduction to statistics as applied to the social sciences. Emphasis on the basic assumptions underlying statistical concepts and the role of statistics in the analysis and interpretation of data. Problems in frequency distribution, measures of location and variation, probability and sampling, tests of hypotheses and significance, linear regression and correlation, time series and index numbers.Note: This course includes the use of SPSS software.
