About this course
3 hours; 3 creditsMajor financial decisions faced by managers of multinational corporations. Topics covered include: cross-border capital flows, international financial contagion, global financial regulations, foreign exchange markets, country risk analysis, international portfolio investment, and trade finance. Decisions regarding capital budgeting, trade finance, working capital, capital structure and risk management within the context of international markets for goods and capital. Unique risks encountered in global finance such as political risk, sovereign risk, foreign exchange rate risk, commodity risk, and economic risk; regulatory uncertainly. Case studies will be integrated into the class. (Not open to students who have completed Business 3377.)Prerequisite: Business 3310 [70.2] or Finance 3310 or Economics 3332 [70.8].
