About this course
This course provides an introduction to Latin American political systems and the relationships among the region's governments and its citizens. Particular emphasis is placed on challenges to democratization, legacies of authoritarianism and dictatorship, and ethnic, linguistic and racial diversity. Prerequisites: Proficiency in Reading and Writing.
