3 hours lecture, 3 creditsReading of significant works. Major schools of anthropology; their distinctive approaches, concepts, and methods. In depth analysis of anthropological theory, key debates and theorists. Prerequisite: the appropriate introductory course (Anthropology 1000 or 1002 or 2200 or 2300 or 2400 or 1100 or 1200 or 1300 or 1400) plus six credits in Anthropology and Archaeology Department courses numbered 3000 and higher, or permission of the chairperson.
