3 hours; 3 credits Exploration of some of the central philosophical issues in African-American philosophy. Such topics as race, gender, respect, social justice, reparations. Diverse philosophical perspectives, such as existentialism, analytic philosophy, pragmatism, post-structuralism. Classic texts and writings of contemporary philosophers. Starting Fall 2026 satisfies Flexible Core US Experience in its Diversity requirement.
