30 hours plus conference; 3 credits A survey of critical works in feminist and gender theories. Topics may include: the development of feminist thought and its impact on literature and literary studies; queer theory as a specific category of gender theory; and intersections between feminist, gender, and queer theories, and other theoretical topics and methods. Application of these theories to analysis of selected literary works.
