30 hours plus conference; 3 creditsDrawing upon current managerial finance theory and practice, thiscourse develops students' ability to apply the techniques offinancial analysis and financial modeling to make business decisionsfrom the perspective of a chief financial officer. Topics coveredinclude: agency theory, managerial finance functions, financialstatements analysis, cash flow management, financial planning andcontrol, financial institutions and markets, time value of money,interest rates, financial assets valuation, risk analysis, capitalbudgeting, choice of capital structure, dividend policy, workingcapital management, and long-term financing. (Not open tostudents who have completed [Business 7216X]).Prerequisite: One undergraduate course in accounting and oneundergraduate course in corporate finance or equivalent.
