About this course
This capstone course explores contemporary legal and policy developments at the intersection of sex and gender, highlighting the treatment and experiences of women. Through critical analysis and collaboration, students in the course evaluate the implications of sex and gender discrimination, inequality and stereotyping in various contexts including education, sports, healthcare, reproductive rights, privacy, employment, sexual violence, family law and more broadly, the evolving recognition of gender identity and pursuit of gender equality. This course focuses on U.S. law with some limited discussion of legal trends and policies in other countries and systems.
